The electrocochleogram (ECochG) is an evoked electrical response produced when the auditory system is stimulated with appropriate stimuli, such as a click. In this paper, we describe a novel computer simulation of the ECochG. We demonstrate that the simulation can reproduce the range of ECochGs from a normal subject in response to click stimuli at various intensities. We suggest ways in which future versions of the simulation might be used in hearing research and in a clinical setting.
