AVOCAT: A Vocal Display System for Tennis

We describe the system AVOCAT (Affichage VOCAl pour le Tennis) conceived to keep the score of a tennis match from the umpire's announcements. After describing the language of umpiring and the architecture of the system, we present a mixed speech recognition (mono- multi-speaker) model, which we created from multi-speaker recognition software. Finally we give the results of an evaluation.
