Constraining of Input Media in a Spoken Dialogue System

A platform for spoken dialogue systems and a dialogue description formalism on which the platform is based is briefly described. The paper gives details about how input devices can automatically be constrained by the dialogue manager on the basis of the dialogue context. The method is formalised and generalised and apply for all input media in a dialogue system, especially the speech recogniser and graphical input devices.
