Data documenting speech after supracricoid partial laryngectomy (SCPL) with cricohyoidoepiglottopexy (CHEP) are scarce in the English language literature. Furthermore, the reported studies [1,2] only concerned the frequential and temporal acoustic parameters of voice after SCPL. The present perceptual evaluation was designed as an attempt to investigate the speech of ten patients after SCPL over the first six postoperative months.
