This paper presents a procedure of data collection of different styles of speech in relation to different professional discourse. Several styles are collected such as reading a text, "spontaneous speech" and professional speech. Freitas (1990) has published the results of this data for teachers of the University. Our data are relative to the same styles but for TV journalist "reading news" with teletext as professional style.

The paper presents some theoretical discussion about the relevance of the procedure and a description of temporal indicators of temporal structures such as relation of speech and pauses. This methodology tends to verify in this first phase the indicators of temporal structures as result of individual, professional or stylistic factors.
