The paper describes the linguistic analysis of a recognised word hypothesis lattice, as implemented in an information dialogue system, capable of recognising and understanding Slovenian speech. The paper focuses on the semantic decomposition of a recognised word sequence. The interface between the speech recognition part and the linguistic analysis part of the system is given by a sentence hypothesisation module, acting as a linguistic pre-processor.
