This paper deals with an experimentation of the Wizard of Oz type which we have conducted with the aim of developing further an existing dialogue system [7] with the tactile mode. First of all we shall present the touch-insensitive version of the system, and the reasons why we came to the conclusion of introducing a touch screen. We shall then present the experimentation, its objectives, its conditions and the development of a session. We shall explain the main observations that we have been able to make, concerning the usage of combined oral/tactile modes for which the types of application are aimed at. Finally, we shall present the essential elements of modelling, taking into account the obtained results.
