Generating Articulatory Movement Patterns by a Segmental and a Gestural Production Model

An articulatory speech synthesizer comprizing a segmental and a gestural control concept and capable of producing utterances from an unlimited vocabulary has been developed The control concepts are introduced and compared qualitatively.
