Announcement: ISCA Online Archive goes open access

[1 Jan 2015] ISCA is glad to announce that its archive becomes open access effective from 1 January 2015! ISCA Online Archive includes conference proceedings of all past INTERSPEECH and ISCA related workshops. Since INTERSPEECH 2014, ISCA Archive publishes INTERSPEECH proceedings online during the conference. 

Open Call for Nominations of ISCA Distinguished Lecturers 2015-2016 has closed


Nominations of candidates for 2015-2016 terms are now open. Each nomination should include the following information: a short biography of the candidate, selected publications, a website, or a resume that provides this information, plus topics/titles of up to 3 possible lectures that the candidate could give. Nominations should be sent to dl_nominations [at] isca-speech.org.

Nominations for this year should be received before January 15, 2015.

Call for Bids for INTERSPEECH 2018

Dear ISCA members:

Those who have plans to organize INTERSPEECH 2018 are encouraged to submit their proposals to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. before November 1, 2014. A proposal must be submitted by the interested institution, usually by the person who will act as chairman of the conference, including the basic proposed data such as:
** Name and position of the proposed General Chair and Vice Chair or Chairpersons
** Proposed period in September/October when the conference would be held
* The institution assuming financial responsibility for the conference
** The city and conference center proposed (with information on that center's capacity)
* Information on transportation and housing for conference participants
* Commercial conference organizer (if any) to be employed
* Likely support from local bodies (e.g. governmental)
* Preliminary budget and fees (not exceeding a prescribed limit)
* Other information supporting the application

If you need more time to prepare all the information above, let us know 'basic information' indicated by '**' temporarily.

Congratulations on a successful INTERSPEECH 2014!

[19-Sept-2014] INTERSPEECH 2014 was successfully concluded in Singapore on 18 September 2014.  We embraced a theme 'celebrating the diversity of spoken languages'. The technical programs were attended by over 1100 participants from 47 countries/regions. 614 technical papers were presented. And for the first time, conference proceedings and papers were available in the ISCA online archive from conference day one. Congratulations to the new ISCA Medalist Professor Anne Cutler, and six new ISCA Fellows Jim Glass, Dilek Hakkani-Tür, Michael Picheny, Isabel Trancoso,  Jacqueline Vaissière, Bayya Yegnanarayana! The next INTERSPEECH will be in Dresden, Germany on 6-10 September 2015!
