OmniSpeech is a startup developing the next generation of speech enhancement/noise suppression algorithms for mobile communications. We are seeking a full-time R&D Engineer to join our engineering team. As one of the first few engineers to join our team you will get plenty of experience in research and development of speech processing/signal processing algorithms for our application and will be able to make a direct impact on our product. The ideal candidate would be a creative thinker, with an excellent track record of innovation (demonstrable by patents/papers etc), and passion for developing high quality software in a fast paced startup environment. Proven ability in developing signal processing algorithms and porting them to optimized C code through industry experience or open source/personal projects would be a big plus.
 
Responsibilities:
* Research, design and develop speech enhancement/noise suppression/signal processing algorithms
* Improve the performance of existing algorithms in noisy environments
* Port Matlab algorithms to highly optimized C code
* Write scripts to automate the tuning of algorithmic parameters
* Write scripts to automate testing
 
Required qualifications:
* MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering
* Strong knowledge of speech processing, pattern recognition and digital signal processing
* Excellent knowledge of Matlab, C/C++ and scripting languages like python, perl, php, shell scripts
* Excellent communication skills
 
Additional qualifications:
* Experience in fixed point coding and implementation of signal processing algorithms on digital signal processors like TI C54x/55x/6x would be a plus
* Knowledge of dual mic noise suppression would be a plus
* Knowledge of adaptive filtering techniques and its application to echo cancellation etc would be a plus
