About Senior Research Engineer

 =

Responsible= for advancing the state of the company's ASR technology while working with the sales, marketing and test development teams to solve practical problems from the field. The position demands a person who has broad interests and is motivated to design and implement improvements to the company’s system.  Opportunities for fur= ther research in applicable areas are available.

Day to Day Responsibilities

 =

Driving the= R&D cycle (building language models, training acoustic models, building statist= ical models for measuring  performa= nce, etc.) for automated grading of different test systems.

Designing n= ew algorithms as required (i.e., improving the grading performance).

Conducting = data analysis

Writing scr= ipts and tools to support the sales, marketing and test development teams.

Maintaining the grading system.

Requirement= s:

 =

MS with 8 y= ears experience or Ph.D. with 5 yrs experience in statistical modeling, artifici= al intelligence, or Speech Recognition.

MS or Ph.D. in EE, CS, or Computational Linguistics.

Knowledge o= f speech recognition or probabilistic systems, statistical models.=

Strong back= ground in statistical modeling and machine learning.

Extensive experience programming in C/C++.

Proficiency= with SQL, Perl and Matlab.

Demonstrate= a willingness to learn and apply a wide range of technologies

Experience = with linguistic and statistical analysis of natural language would be highly desirable.

Experience = in designing and running ASR experiments a plus

Ph.D. in EE= , CS, or Computational Linguistics a plus

Strong writ= ten and verbal communication skills
