NESCA was the original ESCA newsletter. 13 issues have been edited by Maxine ESKENAZI at LIMSI-CNRS (France) and 7 by Joaquim LLISTERI, from the UAB-BARCELONA (Spain). The last 3 issues were edited by Antonio Rubio, from Univ.-Granada (Spain), in cooperation with Gael Richard (Matra Nortel Communications, France) who acted as editor of the NESCA on-line pages.
The last issue came out in the beginning of 1999, the transition year from ESCA to ISCA. No plans have been made yet for a new NISCA.
