We present here a model for generating prosody by superposing overlapping multi-parametric contours. These contours are associated with high-level communication tasks such as segmentation, hierarchisation or emphasis of discourse units. We propose a analysis-by-synthesis scheme for automatically learning these contours and apply this new paradigm to the enunciation of mathematical formulae and utterances carrying various attitudes.
