PVG-Wavegrams: Three-Dimensional Visualization Of Vocal Fold Dynamics

Recently, endoscopic high-speed laryngoscopy has been established for commercial use and constitutes a state-of-the-art technique to examine vocal fold dynamics.
   Due to the need of high sampling rates, a high amount of frames has to be considered for subjective assessment. Especially long phonation recordings produce several hundred megabytes of digital data.
   We present a technique for visualizing these highspeed videos in a compact and intuitive form. The high-speed videos are therefore mapped to threedimensional cycle-based graphs representing a detailed visualization of vocal fold dynamics.
