After a brief presentation of the European Patent Office, we will discuss the life of a patent : a time and space limited monopoly for industrial applications, but also the public disclosure of an invention. We will conclude with an overview of the latest trends in the field G10L17, international patent classification code for "Speaker identification or verification".
