This article describes the development and structure of a knowledge bank which includes both syntax and semantics. It is based on bilingual corpora of texts. The bilingual nature of the knowledge bank makes it very well suited for application in the field of natural language processing, such as speech recognition and machine translation. Features of the knowledge bank include context-based information retrieval, learning ability and reversibility.
