An Improved Greek Reading Machine for Visually Impaired Persons

This paper presents the additional features that an existing text reading system is now provided with in order to improve its performance and its user friendliness. The final users in our case are visually impaired people. To this end the existing system is enriched with an improved preprocessing module, an innovative speller for the Greek language and an efficient interface between the system and the user.
