It is expected that the scheme will be of particular help in preparing material and/or presentations for international workshops, conferences and journals. The scheme will attempt to match the experience of volunteer senior scientists with requests for help and guidance from junior colleagues in different institutions around the world. To make this brokerage service work, it is suggested that requests should be not open-ended, but limited support for activities such as: - pre-review of abstract submission and/or paper submission (to get early feedback on contents and structure of the contribution as well as on the use of language) - identification of the proper publication platform We kindly invite you to volunteer to join the MENTORING SCHEME. Please send a message, stating your interest and the research areas to which you could contribute, to the coordinator of the scheme: Roberto Billi - Training & Education Coordinator e-mail: roberto.billi@cselt.it Once we have a sufficiently large pool of mentors, the scheme will be opened for requests for support. We are looking forward to your participation. NEWS FROM OUR MEMBERS: I am a speech therapist in the USA presently with a Masters Degree and would like to get in touch with places/people in New Zealand in order to get a job. I would like to go ASAP and not only have a traditional background in speech therapy but use music and art as adjunct therapies with autistic children, hard=of=hearing, and with augmentative communication device children. Please e-mail me (essco@webtv.net). Thank you. Janis Siegel, M.Ed.
