See in ISCAPad 57 or on ISCA Web.(http://www.isca-speech.org) -ISCApad publishes now a list of accepted papers for publication in Speech Communication. These papers can be also viewed on the website of ScienceDirect (http://www.sciencedirect.com) if your institution has subscribed to Speech Communication. -ISCA Grants are available for students attending meetings. Even if no information on the grants is advertised on the conference announcement, students may apply. For more information: http://www.isca-speech.org ============================================================================== COURSES, DATABASES, SOFTWARES ============================= -Information on on-going theses could be very useful for thesis supervizors, researchers as well as PhD students. Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (http://ingenieria.uchile.cl/) Universidad de Chile, Santiago, Chile. The successful candidate will join LPTV team composed of one professor, 3 research associates and research students to carry out research and prototype development of speech technology (speech recognition, speech synthesis, speaker verification and speech analysis), Stochastic Weighted Viterbi algorithm and dialogue systems in the framework of academic and applied research projects in collaboration with local companies and international universities. Three Faculty members also collaborate with LPTV on current projects. The successful candidate should also have recently completed his/her Ph.D. and be the author/co-author of peer-review journal papers in order to apply for the post-doc grant funded by Fondecyt-Chile (http://www.fondecyt.cl/POSTDOCTORADOS.htm).
